Welcome to the Hubble Ultra Deep Field 2012

Welcome to the official website for the Hubble Ultra Deep Field 2012 (UDF12).  The UDF12 is a survey with the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) to take the deepest ever image of the sky.  The UDF12 program uses the Wide Field Camera 3 (WFC3), originally installed on HST in 2009, to take images of the sky in infrared light.  The WFC3 instrument enables UDF12 to peer deeper and farther than ever before.  Data acquisition for UDF12 completed in September 2012 and is currently being reduced and analyzed.
